does it really matter what genre of music paramore are:/? if i told you paramore were 'emo' would you stop listening to them? if people want to stereotype you for listening to paramore you shouldn't really care. Laugh it off and hopefully one day they'll learn that there is more genre's of music than mainstream and just because you like an 'emo' 'punk' band it doesn't make you one! 'Emo' isn't just a music genre, its a fashion, a personality

I'd call them emo pop-punk.
They certainly aren't an emo band, and to be honest I can't think of any newer band that classifies as pure emo. I'm not trying to sound like those kind of folks who go 'that shit ain't punk, proper punk bands haven't been around since my teens!' because I believe in evolution of genres, but the truth is, most bands tend to fit between genres nowadays rather than within a single one.

Paramore fits into at least three genres, pop, punk, and emo overtones. Heck, you could probably claim alt. rock in there too.

What?!? they are so not emo!what the hell is wrong with people this days!they think everyone is emo!ugh!no,their punk! listen to there music just cuz some of them dress like that doesn't mean nothing. you can dress like what eve you want. but paramore aren't emoz!!!~:p

They're Pop-Rock, Pop-Punk.. But they are not emo! Now ALL is emo! One emo said that Nirvana, Sex Pistols and AC/DC was emo… =@ =@
